PrecisionHawk CEO Announces Appointment of Former U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo as Special Advisor
PrecisionHawk today announced that former U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ) will serve as a Special Advisor to PrecisionHawk on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) regulatory and policy initiatives. PrecisionHawk CEO Michael Chasen made the announcement during his keynote presentation at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS Symposium, an annual gathering that brings together government agencies, industry and academia to discuss the growing use of UAS and its integration into the national airspace.

In Congress, Frank LoBiondo was a senior member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee for more than two decades and served as Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee from 2013-2019. He was a vocal proponent of integrating UAS technology for commercial applications into the National Airspace System, authoring key provisions in the 2012 FAA Modernization & Reform Act that mandated the FAA to establish six test sites across the country for research, development and testing. During his final year of public service, he shepherded the five year FAA Reauthorization Act through Congress which included key provisions critical to harnessing and expanding commercial growth of UAS across the country. He was a co-chair of the Congressional Unmanned Systems Caucus and represented New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional district, home to the FAA’s premier R&D facility – the William J. Hughes FAA Technical Center. Retired from federal elected office after 24 years, Frank is the founder & CEO of LoBo Strategies LLC, an independent consulting firm providing solutions-driven strategic advice in government affairs and public relations to its clients.
